The Final Week

Wow… I can’t believe four months have passed by already! I don’t want it to end. I have had such an awesome time at this school with the staff and the grade one students. Memories have been created that will last a lifetime. I have grown so much since the beginning of my teaching career and my learning hasn’t stopped yet! I feel that my classroom management skills have strengthened quite a bit since the beginning of my internship which was one of my main goals. I am glad that I was able to go on a field trip with the grade ones as it was a good experience to plan something outside of the classroom environment. I have picked up so many neat activities I will use in my future teaching career. Some of the things I enjoyed most was having objects for each letter of the alphabet, using egg cartons for ten frames, using shaving cream for spelling and having cardboard letters to create words. Even though I’m excited to spend time with my family this coming weekend for Christmas, I hope this week goes by slow. On Wednesday the students have their Christmas concert and the grade ones will be singing a song about rocking at the North Pole. I am sure they will do a great job. The hand bell choir will also be performing the song We Three Kings. Hopefully I can snap a few pictures to share!
